Job Summary

The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the airport operations team, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner. This includes managing the ramp services and passenger services functions, monitoring work performance, and directing personnel within assigned functional areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of airport operations and be able to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and airport officials. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company rules and regulations, as well as maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, and dispatching flights
  • Oversee ramp services, including loading and unloading of cargo, transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft, and performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companies
  • Act as company representative when assigned
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off

  • Ability to handle stress and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
