The Supervisor of Ramp Operations is responsible for overseeing airport functions related to Ramp Services and Passenger Assistance. This role ensures the efficiency and quality of work performed, manages personnel, provides guidance on staffing needs, participates in disciplinary actions and hiring processes, trains team members, and enforces adherence to regulations and standards. Effective communication with airport officials and customers is essential, along with monitoring employee performance to guarantee customer satisfaction, safety, security, and quality service. Compliance with security protocols is a critical aspect of this position. The Supervisor must uphold fair practices and foster respect among all stakeholders involved. The scope of responsibilities may vary based on the operational scale and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of airport operations, including ticketing, baggage handling, and safe, timely flight dispatching.
  • Manage baggage service operations, including processing claims for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
  • Deliver professional and efficient customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with various departments to fulfill operational requirements, including catering, fueling, and maintenance services.
  • Represent the company in assigned capacities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or training.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and designated days off.

Preferred Skills:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to manage stress and work independently.
  • Proficient in report writing and correspondence.
  • Skilled in public speaking.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in environments with high noise levels.
