Position Summary

The Construction Worker I serves as an introductory role within our team, supporting the Construction Worker II (Lead) in fundamental job site operations, including setup and cleanup tasks. This position requires following directives from the Construction Worker II (Lead), as well as from Superintendents and/or the Operations Manager. The Construction Worker I will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Key Duties

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Collecting materials from suppliers and delivering them to job sites as needed.
  • Preparing the job site under the guidance of the lead, Superintendent, or Operations Manager.
  • In the absence of the project lead, providing detailed written updates to the Superintendent or Operations Manager regarding project progress, delays, and any issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized job site, ensuring proper storage of equipment, materials, and tools.
  • Assisting the lead (Construction Worker II) with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, painting, and finishing carpentry for various client types.
  • Enhancing trade skills through ongoing training and education.
  • Observing leads in basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks to develop skills.
  • Performing various assigned tasks to expedite project completion.
  • Complying with OSHA regulations and adhering to company safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Participating in required safety briefings and training sessions.
  • Completing necessary documentation accurately and promptly, submitting it to the supervisor as required.
  • Integrating the core values of Restoration Management into daily activities.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a construction setting, performing various basic tasks.
  • A valid Class C driver's license.
  • Preferred OSHA 10 and CPR training.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with machinery and power tools.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability to provide personal transportation and basic hand tools.
  • Fluency in English.

Working Environment

Conditions for this role may include:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, standing, reaching, and squatting.
  • Required overtime for scheduled work, with after-hours and weekend options available.
