Job Overview:

Objective

Deliver comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services for the Applied Research Laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and scrubbing various surfaces such as floors, stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, and laboratories.
  • Execute floor maintenance activities, including waxing and polishing.
  • Manage post-event clean-up in laboratory settings.
  • Assist in relocating furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Undertake additional related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of six months of experience in custodial maintenance.
  • Proven ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor and collaborating as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work a shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Willingness to accept supervision and guidance.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • The role involves working in a controlled access area, and selected candidates may be subject to security protocols.
  • Equivalent combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information relevant to the position.

General Information

Selected candidates must be able to adhere to a standard shift of 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM.

Background checks will be conducted for finalists under consideration for this role.

Salary Range:

$38,480-$39,000+/negotiable based on qualifications.

Working Environment
  • Exposure to chemical fumes may occur.

  • Work may involve electrical and mechanical hazards.
  • Manual dexterity is required.
  • Climbing stairs and lifting/moving items are necessary tasks.
  • Frequent use of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, and buffing machines.
  • The job primarily involves walking and standing.
  • Bending and lifting are essential components of the role.
  • Daily interaction with cleaning materials and solutions is expected.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
