Position Overview:

The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee all operational aspects of assigned locations within a designated region. This role involves managing janitorial and floor care services for a diverse range of clients, including prominent national retail organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial and Operational Management:

  • Oversee financial performance and quality metrics for the designated area.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while collaborating with corporate sales and field leadership.
  • Conduct mandatory Quality Control inspections and ensure documentation is maintained.
  • Provide support by stepping in for custodial staff as needed.
  • Coordinate special projects and ensure client approval when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Staff Recruitment and Development:

  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance evaluation of custodial staff.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to address employee-related issues.
  • Ensure availability and functionality of supplies and equipment at all locations.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and Human Resource regulations at the store level.
  • Develop and manage custodial staff schedules.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Engage regularly with store management to foster strong working relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial management.
  • Knowledge of carpet care, floor maintenance, and operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction effectively.
  • Dependable, courteous, and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience managing a team of 40 or more employees.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including internet usage, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with both clients and internal teams.
  • Organized with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Must pass background checks and have reliable transportation.
