Position Schedule: PRN

Shift Details: Monday, Thursday & Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Role Overview:

As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will ensure that patients are accurately registered across all service lines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting eligibility verification and obtaining necessary pre-certifications and authorizations.
  • Arranging financial plans and processing payments for services rendered.
  • Correcting registration errors and managing pre-bill edits.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clinical partners to ensure seamless operations between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments.
  • Providing exemplary service to both internal and external customers.
  • Offering PBX (switchboard) support as required.

In this role, you will:

  • Actively seek ways to enhance your responsibilities and improve processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clinical partners to facilitate open communication, enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Ensure timely coverage of your assigned work area to provide prompt service for all registration needs.
  • Meet and exceed productivity standards set by department leadership.
  • Adhere to attendance and punctuality requirements while demonstrating flexibility to meet departmental needs.
  • Exhibit effective time management skills to minimize unauthorized overtime.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
