Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design team while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group
  • Evaluate and design HVAC and plumbing systems for various commercial and industrial applications
  • Organize and engage in code compliance discussions with regulatory bodies
  • Review and refine mechanical specifications and select appropriate equipment
  • Administer construction contracts as required
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on mechanical projects

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Mechanical
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
  • Proficient in MS Office and Trane TRACE or similar software

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with Revit MEP
  • Background in commercial/institutional projects within the healthcare sector is advantageous
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices/LEED is a plus but not mandatory
