About the Role
As a District Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and oversee an independent dealer distribution network, aimed at enhancing the market presence and sales of Doosan Bobcat's grounds maintenance and turf equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Territory Management:
Establish and sustain a dealer network that delivers superior customer experiences. Collaborate with dealers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. - Dealer Relations:
Build strong relationships with dealers, managing daily interests and aligning with the company’s objectives. - Financial Oversight:
Safeguard the financial interests of both the company and its dealers, effectively communicating customer and dealer needs to relevant departments. - Market Share Growth:
Achieve market share targets through effective product sales and branding initiatives. - Order Management:
Address order and retail inquiries promptly. - Strategic Planning:
Develop annual strategies for the district and individual dealers.
Dealer Engagement and Accountability:
- Enhance dealer performance through quarterly Sales/Action Plan meetings.
- Present market share insights and competitive analysis.
- Review sales performance and action plans with dealer principals on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure proactive implementation of Action Plan items.
Training and Development:
- Facilitate dealer training and promotional activities.
- Conduct district sales training sessions focused on new products and competitive offerings.
- Accompany new sales specialists to familiarize them with the company’s operations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2 to 5+ years of sales experience is required.
- Experience in commercial marketing, particularly with grounds maintenance equipment, is advantageous.
- Proven territory management experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Results-oriented and highly motivated.
- Ability to make informed and timely decisions.
- Self-driven with strong time management and prioritization skills, especially in a home office setting.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
