POSITION SUMMARY

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence three days a week. The Head of Information Security will provide strategic vision, leadership, and expertise to enhance and manage the organization's information security framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this role include:

  • Leading the strategic direction of the information security program and its operational activities.
  • Designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive enterprise information security program to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of organizational data.
  • Facilitating risk identification and integrating these risks into the information security risk assessment process, while providing guidance on appropriate controls and testing.
  • Setting annual security and compliance objectives, defining security strategies, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Creating and maintaining a roadmap for ongoing program enhancements.
  • Developing an information security management framework based on industry standards to assess program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Defining the organization’s information security risk appetite and managing risks according to established tolerance levels.
  • Maintaining and updating information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance and overseeing the security aspects of audits conducted by internal, external, and third-party entities.
  • Leading the Incident Response Team in managing security-related incidents.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications are required, with CISSP preferred; CRISC, C|CISCO, CISM, or CISA are also acceptable.
  • A minimum of thirteen to fifteen years of experience in information security is ideal.
  • At least eight years of supervisory or management experience in overseeing information security is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with current IT security technologies and frameworks.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • The ability to manage and execute multiple projects effectively using established project management methodologies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to see, perceive colors, and listen effectively.
