Service Center Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Service Center Support PT to join our team. As a Service Center Support PT, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing documentation, and performing administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations in our service center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and fax, resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and verify documentation, including freight bills and reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Enter freight shipment information into our computer system, including status updates and freight bill generation.
- Administer the freight pick-up process, ensuring timely and efficient collection of shipments.
- Assist customers with tracing shipments, rate quotes, and tariff discrepancies, providing accurate and timely information.
- Make freight delivery appointments and review drivers' Hours-of-Service logs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate with sales, operations, and other service centers to ensure customer needs are met and issues are resolved.
- Reconcile cash and checks collected, prepare deposits, and prepare COD check remittance to customers.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of general office experience preferred.
- One year of customer service experience preferred.
- Previous transportation experience preferred.
- Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend FedEx service products and assist customers with their needs.
- Ability to use general office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
- Typing/data entry skills and ten-key skills preferred.
- PC experience with the ability to learn required computer systems/programs.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Office/dock environment with fast-paced and deadline-oriented work.
Hours may vary due to operational needs.
