Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key resource for Care Advisor Nurses, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and concerns from callers;
  • Oversee and evaluate telephone triage calls, providing ongoing verbal and written feedback to enhance staff performance;
  • Monitor adherence to work schedules to achieve established call benchmarks;
  • Conduct annual performance assessments for team members;
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of licensure and mandatory training credentials (e.g., ACLS, CPR, Code Drill, etc.);
  • Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and development of nursing staff;
  • Support Telehealth services, patient portal communications, and after-hours calls as necessary;
  • Draft memos, notices, or emails to facilitate effective departmental communication;
  • Engage in regular meetings with the Care Advisor Nurse Supervisor;
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all Patient First policies and procedures;
  • Verify that documentation completed by staff in patient medical records is thorough, clear, and understandable;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned;
  • Uphold a high level of confidentiality;
  • Exhibit the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and effectively;
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old;
  • Must possess a valid registered nurse license;
  • Eligible for licensure in all states where Patient First operates;
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with Patient First;
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of supervisory experience in medical/surgical, urgent care, emergency, or critical care nursing;
  • Preferred: Experience in a nurse telephone triage call center;
  • Strong clinical nursing knowledge;
  • Exceptional skills in listening, problem-solving, and critical thinking;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Ability to operate automated call distribution systems;
  • Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods (4 to 8 hours);
  • Occasional travel may be required;
  • Ability to foster a team-oriented environment.
