Program Specialist I

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Specialist I to join our team at the Texas Department of Insurance. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the field of public service.
Key Responsibilities- Process and enter information into internal Human Resources Information Systems and the Centralized Accounting Payroll Personnel System (CAPPS)
- Research and reconcile discrepancies between various databases, including CAPPS, USPS, and personnel files
- Assist with human resources automated filing systems and respond to routine questions from employees on human resources policies and procedures
- Back up with posting job vacancies, sending certified/regular mail requests, and phone coverage
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business, public administration, human resource management, management, or a related field
- One year of experience working with various databases, processing, and entering actions, and customer service
- Experience with CAPPS HR/Payroll, Oracle, and/or Peoplesoft is a plus
