Position Summary:
Oppenheimer Asset Management is seeking a Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist. This role involves overseeing reports for due diligence analysts, aiding the due diligence process, and managing research coverage of investment managers. As the analyst progresses, there will be opportunities to take on more extensive research responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of financial markets and the asset management sector. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar, and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refresh reports for due diligence analysts and financial advisors to illustrate high-conviction investment strategies.
  • Engage in manager review discussions and meetings alongside senior analysts.
  • Compile research materials and draft research notes for investment manager evaluations and site visits.
  • Assist the due diligence process through performance and risk assessment.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases and records of portfolio holdings and relevant statistics.
  • Oversee risk analytic tools to inform strategic and tactical allocation decisions.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, high energy, and a willingness to learn.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Exceptional mathematical, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of conveying complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, linking quantitative insights with business logic and intuition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the financial markets (including internships and/or full-time roles).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including VLookups, HLookups, and managing large datasets), and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: Experience with Bloomberg and Morningstar.

Compensation:
For positions based in New York City, Oppenheimer is legally obligated to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York City and considers various factors in salary decisions, including skills, qualifications, experience, licensure, certifications, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $70,000 to $100,000. Additionally, certain roles may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses.
