Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and support to our meat department team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and sale of meat products, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze and optimize our meat department operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all meat products meet our high standards of quality, freshness, and safety.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a meat department or related field preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival Foods will reimburse if associate obtains while employed).
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in technology and computer systems, including inventory management software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly; occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.
