About the Role:

The Meat Department Lead is responsible for driving sales in the meat department and supervising a team of hourly associates to deliver exceptional customer service and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of meat products, including boneless and bone-in products, and ensure the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance.
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers, share knowledge of meat products, and provide recommendations to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Operations: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, provide and develop necessary skills to deliver high-quality products to customers, and encourage career growth for team members.

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
