Field Sales Executive

Position Overview:
Ryerson is seeking a dedicated Outside Sales Representative. In this role, you will be tasked with cultivating and managing customer accounts within the Virginia Beach region. The ideal candidate should be based in the Virginia Beach area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with stakeholders at various levels within customer organizations, particularly with those involved in purchasing decisions.
- Foster customer trust and confidence in Ryerson and its representatives.
- Keep clients updated on industry developments and economic trends, showcasing Ryerson's capability to support customers through transitions.
- Collaborate with service center and regional sales/product management to create quotes and contract proposals that meet customer requirements and drive profitable sales for Ryerson.
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape and provide market insights to sales management to influence service center sales strategies, pricing, and working capital decisions.
- Enhance revenue from assigned accounts by expanding product offerings or items sold and shifting general line sales to fabrication sales.
- Engage service center management, regional management, Global Accounts, or other corporate leaders, along with Ryerson supplier representatives, to establish and maintain relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with the understanding that responsibilities and activities may evolve over time.
Position Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or industry-related inside and/or outside sales.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated skill in building rapport with clients across diverse industries and backgrounds.
- Experience in fabrication is a plus.
