Job Title: Virtual Nurse

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a skilled Virtual Nurse to join our team. As a Virtual Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting our bedside care teams across our network of hospitals in the capital region.

Job Summary

The Virtual Nurse will utilize technology to support patients and bedside/floor nurses via in-room TV monitors, allowing patients to have access to their care team at any time of the day. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with bedside care teams to provide optimal patient care through a computerized and/or digital platform.
  • Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care plans from admission to discharge.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and case management principles to coordinate and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure seamless transitions of care across the continuum.
  • Monitor quality metrics specific to the department and ensure complete and accurate documentation in the patient record.
Requirements
  • New York State valid nursing license from an accredited professional school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare/critical care as a registered nurse.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • Current or recent bedside RN experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • BSN degree.
Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
