Job Title: Window Specialist Support

Gulfeagle Supply is a family-owned business with over 100 locations nationwide, acquired Kimal Lumber in 2018. Since the merger, Gulfeagle and Kimal Lumber have been working to bring contractors superior service. Gulfeagle is a full-line distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products, while Kimal Lumber provides dimensional lumber, sheet goods, moldings, roof trusses, windows, and interior/exterior doors.

Job Summary:

This position exists to support the window sales effort by providing customers with current product knowledge, accurate and competitive quoting, consistent follow-up, and positive internal teamwork to increase business in a cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, acting with a high standard of service for internal and external customers at all times.
  • Assist customers with regards to Anderson and other wood specialty window and SGD products, creating and following up with quotes and purchasing of orders.
  • Develop sales and margin levels that achieve defined company budgets and sales targets, creating window and door "take-offs" with emphasis on Anderson products, wood, and other specialty wood window products.
  • Coordinate vendor shipments of Anderson products with purchasing and receiving documentation.
  • Handle customer complaints and find reasonable solutions for the mutual benefit of the customer and Kimal Lumber, including assisting in collecting receivables and resolving credit issues.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails according to company guidelines.
  • Learn, utilize, and adhere to Kimal's operational policies and procedures to process orders and serve customers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of window sales experience.
  • Ability to write reports or business correspondence in English and effectively present information to groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Good knowledge of window and SGD products that Kimal sells and ability to effectively and professionally present information about those products and services to builders, homeowners, and other tradesmen.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to walk, see, talk, and hear. Often required to stand, crouch, or sit.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Regularly required to see clearly with close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Basis for Performance Checkpoints:
  • Attain sales and margin targets on all customer orders.
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal operations' personnel from KWAD location.
  • Follow company operational procedures and adhere to company and locational policies.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and respectful service to internal and external customers.
  • Be an example to the rest of the team and company for teamwork, communication, and service.
  • Be dependable in attendance, on-time, and as scheduled.
