Position Overview:
As a seasoned professional in defense operations, your extensive experience empowers you to envision innovative solutions and tackle challenges that others may overlook. Your advisory capabilities are crucial in addressing some of the most intricate issues faced by our clients, ensuring the safety and security of our nation.

Role Responsibilities:
In the capacity of a Service Component Command EOD Planner, you will leverage your leadership and specialized knowledge to collaborate with industry thought leaders on significant projects within the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility. Your contributions will include:

  • Providing strategic input to Army and Joint explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED), and technical exploitation directives, policies, and programs.
  • Facilitating Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), boards, cells, conferences, and working groups, as well as responding to Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Contributing to the formulation, assessment, and evaluation of policies, processes, and systems that align with client needs.
  • Supporting initiatives and requirements related to security cooperation capacity building events and organizational assessments.
  • Ensuring synchronization of efforts across a matrix organization with diverse functional areas and delivering comprehensive reports and briefs for senior military stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Joint Planning.
  • At least 4 years of operational planning experience at the Division, Corps, Theater, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff level.
  • Familiarity with Theater Campaign Plans and National level Strategic guidance.
  • Knowledge of EOD and C-IED operational activities, plans, and policies.
  • Proficiency in guiding planning efforts from concept development to orders production, along with the ability to present senior-level operational briefs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • A Top Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Graduation from Explosive Ordinance Disposal School.

Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • 4+ years of experience addressing challenges specific to the INDOPACOM AOR.
  • Experience with Weapons Technical Intelligence pertinent to INDOPACOM policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA).
  • Experience in collaborative problem-solving both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in facilitating meetings and working groups with diverse organizations.
  • Knowledge of the US Army Protection Warfighting Function, Homeland Defense Planning, and Multi-Domain Operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations to senior leaders.
  • Completion of Military Education Level 4 Qualification Course or equivalent.

Clearance Requirements:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
