Key Responsibilities- Hardware and Software Support: Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Installation and Configuration: Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals.
- Problem-Solving: Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems and guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
- Remote Troubleshooting: Conduct remote troubleshooting and test alternative pathways until issues are resolved.
- Network Maintenance: Maintain computer networks, including VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
- Security and Compliance: Customize desktop applications to meet user needs, record technical issues and solutions in logs, and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- Proven Experience: Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS environments, working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, and knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills, customer-oriented attitude, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: Associate Degree in the Information Technology field or 1 year of equivalent education or work experience.
- Technical Certifications: Comp TIA A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, or Microsoft 365 MDAA.
