Position Title: Field Collector at Quest Diagnostics
As a Field Collector at Quest Diagnostics, you will operate under the supervision of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, with a primary focus on ensuring precise and prompt specimen collections in various locations. Your role will involve fostering a secure and professional atmosphere for clients and staff alike, executing specimen collection and processing with confidence while strictly following established protocols.
Compensation: $26.71 per hour
Salary offers are determined by multiple factors including skills, training, experience, education, and relevant certifications. Additional considerations such as market conditions and organizational factors are also taken into account.
Benefits Overview:
- Quest Diagnostics provides a 401(k) Plan for all employees after one month, featuring a company match of up to 5% of pay after one year.
- Ensures accurate and timely specimen collection:
- Adheres to established protocols for specimen collection in accordance with DOT guideline 49 CFR-Part 40.
- Conducts random and emergency observed urine collections for clients.
- Collects specimens for drug testing and additional services.
- Completes Chain of Custody (COC) and Alcohol Testing Forms with precision.
- Correctly labels specimens and manages their transportation to the laboratory.
- Follows DOT Guidelines for Breath Alcohol and Urine collections.
- Responsible for secure transportation of specimens:
- Documents all collected specimens and assists with Record Deletion processes when necessary.
- Delivers exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrates commitment to organizational values:
- Complies with company grooming and dress code standards.
- Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Maintains professionalism and courtesy consistently.
- Additional responsibilities:
- Keeps equipment in optimal condition and informs management of any issues.
- Efficiently manages supplies and coordinates for replenishment.
- Collaborates with staff to ensure adherence to company requirements.
- Participates in special events and team activities as required.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and has access to transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience: DOT Certification and relevant documentation must be provided prior to a job offer.
Preferred Work Experience: Certification as a BAT/Urine Collector is preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, drive, and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Flexible and available according to operational needs.
- Good organizational and decision-making capabilities.
- Basic computer proficiency with a willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
