Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions, LLC. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for performing proper specimen collection and labeling procedures, as well as accessing all specimens in the receiving area and ensuring timely transport and distribution to the laboratory for immediate processing and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures
  • Performs all standard laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy, including correcting patient identification, proper collection of samples, and collection of specimens for urinalysis, 24-hour urines, toxicology, and microbiological testing
  • Must accession all specimens in the receiving area and ensure timely transport and distribution of specimens to the laboratory for immediate processing and testing

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
  • Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist

Working Conditions:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
