Job Overview

Hyannis Air Service Inc is seeking a skilled Junior Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development staff, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our production applications, reports, and other development tasks.

This is a hybrid eligible position which will require the candidate to be able to work independently while keeping in close contact with other employees. This position requires in-office attendance 2-3 days per week (5 days preferred) at our headquarters location in Hyannis, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with employees at all levels of the company to determine their development needs as the first point of contact
  • Manage the development ticket queue to ensure excellent service to our internal customers and our passengers
  • Quickly adapt to rapidly changing business requirements
  • Maintain and update code as needed in our test and production environments, based on end user requirements
  • Work with the development staff to contribute new code to projects as requested
  • Diagnose and debug development issues as they arise
  • Work with internal and external entities to ensure that data is transmitted and received properly
Requirements
  • Experience coding in.NET Core &.NET Framework (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web API) required as well as Entity Framework
  • Competent with modern front-end frameworks, including responsive, front to back end development, and component-based development
  • Relational database query writing and debugging
  • Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to other programming languages, techniques, and technologies; including legacy programming languages
  • Basic code repository skills (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular (or other JavaScript based frameworks)
  • Motivated to help internal customers solve complex requests
  • Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well both independently and in team situations.
