About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Uchi Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for motivating and mentoring a team of cooks and chefs, managing the overall culinary standards in a high-volume kitchen, and assisting with ordering, scheduling, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Motivate, mentor, and develop a culinary team comprised of cooks and chefs to ensure exceptional performance and growth.
  • Culinary Standards: Manage the overall culinary standards in a high-volume, scratch kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist and float through all kitchen stations as needed, providing support to the culinary team and ensuring seamless service.
  • Culinary Expertise: Cook great food in a modern kitchen, utilizing creativity and expertise to deliver exceptional dishes.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with ordering, scheduling, inventory management, and other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: High-volume kitchen management experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Leadership: A great developer and mentor of people, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Culinary Passion: A genuine love of great food and hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
