New Mexico Stroke and STEMI Coordinator

This position provides leadership and facilitation for the STROKE and ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) program in New Mexico. The coordinator will work with hospitals and EMS services throughout the state to promote participation in registry and accreditation processes, grow the stroke and STEMI heart attack EMS & hospital treatment system, and improve the system of care for affected patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote communication among facilities and EMS services
- Assist facilities and EMS services with submission of data to the State
- Develop and implement destination protocols for Stroke/STEMI systems of care
- Work with EMS Regions to develop infrastructure for Stroke/STEMI care
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public or Health Education
- Experience in a health-related field preferred
- Public speaking and presentation experience a plus
- Working knowledge of New Mexico Emergency Medical Services, trauma, and hospital programs required
