About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at The Children's Clinic in Long Beach, CA. As a key member of our HR department, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, including employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, onboarding, HR compliance, workers compensation, and HR reports.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision. If you have experience in ADP Workforce Now and possess excellent written and oral communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Job Summary:

  • Oversight of HR Department operations, including employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
  • Management of leaves of absence, FMLA, PDLL, ADA, CFRA, Workers Compensation, and other statutory requirements
  • Development and administration of supervisory/manager training in HR processes

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all HR compliance matters are followed through, including medical compliance, audits, and HR status changes and notifications
  • Partners with Clinic Managers and managerial staff to lead and consult on employee relations matters
  • Updates job descriptions by working with managers
  • Assists Head of HR in administering the clinic's performance management process

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' degree in HR or related field strongly preferred, or a minimum of five (5) years of HR generalist experience; two (2) of which in a supervisory capacity
  • Previous experience in ADP Workforce Now is a plus
  • Work experience for an organization with at least 300 employees

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
