Role of a Client Relationship Manager

In this role, you will provide essential support to producers and internal team members, focusing on the retention of existing accounts and the development of new business opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Marketing new and renewal business in collaboration with producers.
  • Creating proposals and securing coverage.
  • Leading the service team and ensuring exceptional customer service alongside the Client Advocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource for producers and clients.
  • Manage the renewal process effectively.
  • Conduct marketing for new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate renewal marketing efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners.

  • Support additional accounts as required.
  • Contribute to a culture of employee ownership by participating in agency and carrier events.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of agency carriers and the insurance marketplace to resolve client issues.

Qualifications

  • A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Business/Commercial Lines Insurance customer service.
  • Current experience as a Client Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance markets and coverage options.
  • CIC designation or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with AMS360 is desirable.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must obtain a Minnesota Property and Casualty insurance license upon hire.
