Job Title: Shift Leader

Job Description:

Summary:

As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the management team in achieving restaurant operational goals, annual sales, and profit plan. You will be responsible for directing and supervising restaurant hourly team members on assigned shifts to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and optimum guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise restaurant hourly team members on assigned shifts to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and optimum guest service.
  • Assist in planning and supervising completion of all job task assignments and ensure adherence with safety, food safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
  • Provide training to hourly team members in all aspects of the restaurant operation using company-training tools.
  • Assist the management team in maintaining restaurant equipment and facility per company guidelines.
  • Perform regular administrative tasks, including register and safe audits, deposit of company funds, proper accounting of restaurant funds, and reporting of all guest and employee accidents.
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to guest complaints.
  • Attend regularly scheduled store, market, and company meetings, training sessions, and stay current with all federal, state, and local certifications.
  • Recommend disciplinary action for hourly team members.
  • Monitor the interior and exterior cleanliness of the restaurant at all times and initiate clean-up as needed.

Education and/or Skills and Experience:

  • At least 6 months of restaurant experience.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to perceive and react to the needs of others.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read company instructions, orders on screen/receipts, and written materials.
  • Ability to operate a cash register and basic mathematical skills.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must pass Shift/Team Leader training and be certified.
