Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled ToGo Cashier to join our team at Gringo's Mexican Kitchen. As a ToGo Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant services.
- Prepare final bills, present checks to guests, accept payments, and process credit card charges or make change.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by management.
- Monitor guests' dining experiences to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.
- Help maintain restaurant cleanliness.
- Follow the closing checklist to close the restaurant properly.
- Attend all scheduled team member meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience is optional but preferred.
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
- Ability to add and subtract two and three-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
- Food Handler Certification is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing/walking.
- Occasional stooping/kneeling.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 60 pounds.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.
- Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication.
- Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas using the spoken word.
- Consistent clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.
