Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Security Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a visible and uniformed presence by patrolling designated areas on bicycle or foot.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to citizens and visitors, addressing questions and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Enhance security and perception of safety in Downtown Dallas through proactive presence and engagement.
  • Interact with individuals to resolve quality of life issues and provide support for special events as needed.
  • Assist the Dallas Police Department with quality of life issues and identify crime suspects and criminals.
  • Collaborate with the City Square Homeless Outreach Team to address quality of life issues.
  • Report equipment failures, including streetlights, signs, traffic signals, and pedestrian amenities.
  • Provide first aid and emergency support as needed.
  • Monitor high-risk and high pedestrian areas to deter crime.
  • Represent Downtown Dallas and DDI in a professional manner on the job, at meetings, or special events.
  • Complete daily activity reports and other assignments as specified by your shift supervisor.
  • Operate a two-way radio using 10-codes.
  • Stay current on City of Dallas codes and ordinances.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of college education preferred.
  • Completion of requirements for becoming a Commissioned Security Officer in the state of Texas.
  • Interest or experience in public administration, law enforcement, social services, or community development.
  • Bi-lingual ability is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.24, with the potential for a performance-based pay increase after completion of the introductory period. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO), 401k, and more.
