We are currently in search of dedicated Security Professionals who share our vision of a welcoming and inspiring Downtown Dallas. This role is perfect for a motivated, team-oriented individual with exceptional customer service skills, capable of engaging with tourists, business professionals, property managers, and residents alike. The ideal candidate will exemplify our core values: Integrity, Respect, Service, Courage, Trustworthiness, and Unity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visible presence by patrolling assigned areas on foot or bicycle.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints from citizens and visitors.
  • Enhance the perception of safety in the Downtown area through proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate with individuals to address quality of life concerns.
  • Support local law enforcement in identifying and addressing crime-related issues.
  • Assist outreach teams in addressing community needs.
  • Report any infrastructure issues, including malfunctioning streetlights and traffic signals.
  • Provide first aid and respond to emergencies as necessary.
  • Monitor high-traffic areas to deter criminal activity.
  • Support special events as required.
  • Represent Downtown Dallas and DDI professionally at all times.
  • Complete daily activity reports and follow directives from supervisors.
  • Utilize two-way radios effectively.
  • Stay informed about local codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; two years of college education preferred.
  • Completion of requirements to become a Commissioned Security Officer in Texas.
  • Interest or experience in public administration, law enforcement, social services, or community development.
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
Compensation: $18.24 per hour, commensurate with experience. Eligible for performance-based pay increases following the introductory period.
