Compliance Manager for Labor Laws

The Human Resources Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with labor laws and regulations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This position requires developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, policies, and practices to maintain a legally and ethically sound operation.
This role involves overseeing the company's immigration program, ensuring compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations, including I-9 verification. The HR Compliance Manager will also investigate and resolve compliance issues and complaints, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations to communicate changes to the HR team and management.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and minimum 5 years of experience in HR compliance or a related role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related topics.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and complaints.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR compliance or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
