Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Human Resources to join our team at Richmond Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Human Resources in all areas, including recruitment, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee relations, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Director of Human Resources in all areas, including recruitment, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee relations, and training.
  • Maintain organizational charts and job descriptions for all full-time positions.
  • Assist employees with open enrollment and serve as liaison to arrange benefit representative visits during open enrollment.
  • Prepare and complete New Employee Orientation.
  • Process employment verification and state service forms/requests on current and past employees.
  • Manage employment listings and vacancies, including creating requisitions, advertising, and posting positions on internal and external websites.
  • Evaluate applicant qualifications and make recommendations for interview to the President, appropriate Vice President, or hiring supervisor.
  • Assist the HR Director with the contract renewals and annual performance appraisal process for permanent employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on employment, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee relations, and training.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Public Sector law, state and federal employment laws, and regulations and HR principles.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
