Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Environment, Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and respect of HSEQ Group Rules and Policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain a HSE management system (One Maestro) and ensure its implementation, ensuring the HSE values are understood and adopted by all affiliates.
  • Define and communicate to everyone the policy, roadmap, objectives, and HSE program, ensuring all HSE documentation (directives, rules, specifications, procedures) are known, understood, and applied.
  • Ensure contact with local authorities and ensure regulatory watch concerning local HSE regulations; follow HSE regulation evolution and rules.
  • Conduct the understanding and implementation of HSE Group procedures and guides by adapting local procedures, ensuring efficient application of HSE Group procedures and guides.
  • Advise the direction concerning analysis and risks management implementation; prepare, lead, or participate in HSE studies and risks evaluations for various activities, installations, and works.
  • Follow HSE action plans from audits, visits, and inspections realized by Group or affiliate personnel and ensure they are well implemented.
  • Implement and monitor the environmental management plan, including waste management.
  • Ensure dedicated and mandatory HSE training programs are implemented for personnel with specific HSE responsibilities; recommend and organize actions and training programs for employees, defining necessary competencies for leading operations; coordinate HSE training between operational entities and the human resource training department.
  • Set up and maintain standards for audits, define a methodology, and lead self-evaluation.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators; ensure HSE performance follow-up and benchmarking necessary.
Work Supervision:
  • Manage HSE aspects in contractors' processes and tenders; monitor contractors' activities to ensure compliance with HSEQ Group requirements.
  • Inspect periodically contractors' compliance by conducting ICCs.
  • Assist contractors on ICC scope in realizing their action plan, evaluating them periodically on the field during works, and communicating with the purchase department.
Transport Management:
  • Ensure application of PATROM requirements and light vehicles requirements with Transportation Responsible.
  • Participate in HSE level continual improvement for affiliate transporters, conducting ICTs, OBC monitoring, and on-board cameras.
Integrity Management:
  • Ensure, with the help of the Integrity Manager, all requirements of technical integrity; participate in downgraded mode implementation and ensure their application on the field.
Reporting and Crisis Management:
  • Ensure coherence and consolidate internal and external HSE reporting; manage incident reporting process: verify all incidents or anomalies are immediately reported and analyzed; participate or supervise reporting and incidents, accidents, and HIPO analysis.
  • Implement a crisis management system in straight relation with stakeholders; give recommendations for procedures and emergency plans; contribute to the definition and purchase of all specific HSE material and equipment for prevention and intervention; organize preparation for emergency situations by conducting training and exercises.
HSE Culture:
  • Organize and coordinate HSE awareness campaigns.
  • Support and advise all teams on HSE topics; implement HSE specifications, especially for operational entities.
  • Contribute to promoting a positive reflection and entity performance improvement by combining HSE topics and socioeconomic aspects in a geographical, cultural, contractual, and environmental context.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences/Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of Quality System Management experience.
  • Great computer skills (Microsoft, Excel).
  • Communication skills and adult training skills required.
  • Knowledge of statistics, statistical process control theory, and quality measurement systems required.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ) and Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager (ASQ) certification required or making progress toward obtaining.
