Job Summary:

The Strategic Operations Director at Trinity Logistics is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic oversight and management of all administrative services groups, including Credit and Collections, Claims, Carrier Compliance, Customer Service, and Billing. The Director ensures the seamless and efficient operation of these services, aligning them with the company's strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Director develops and implements comprehensive corporate and operational strategies, driving these initiatives across the administrative services group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Oversight and Management: Oversee and manage all administrative services groups, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
  • Collaboration and Strategy Development: Collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement comprehensive corporate and operational strategies.
  • Leadership and Vision: Provide exceptional leadership and management, establishing robust operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems.
  • Efficiency and Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and drive innovation within the administrative services group.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and oversee metrics reporting, dashboards, and accountability measures to ensure the group meets and improves key metrics and processes.
  • Process Improvement: Develop processes and efficiencies to move the Administrative Services group to an exception-based functionality.
  • People Management and Development: Foster an environment of continuous learning and development within the administrative services teams.
  • Market and Industry Awareness: Stay knowledgeable of market and industry trends related to the administrative services group.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience leading and managing high-performing cross-functional teams within a complex organizational structure.
  • Five years of experience in the transportation sector, required.
  • Proven ability to analyze and redesign processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong aptitude for identifying trends, evaluating complex data sets, and implementing innovative solutions to mitigate risk and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation capabilities, with a track record of engaging and influencing a variety of executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, including team members, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time to engage with stakeholders and support business initiatives.
