We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users at 3M Corporate Headquarters as well as those remotely based across North America.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site technical support for end-users at 3M.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- Communicate technical information to end-users in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Document all technical support activities in the ticketing system.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge articles and other support documentation.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of new hardware and software.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in desktop support, including experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop hardware.
- Knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
