Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and teaching diagnostic procedures in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate highly technical instruments
  • Analyze acquired data and evaluate requisitions, charts, and lab results
  • Perform patient assessment and identify patient needs
  • Arrange for pregnancy testing and follow guidelines set up by Radiation Safety Office and NRC
  • Set up acquisition and perform according to protocol, maintaining patient comfort, care, and safety
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
