Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing and teaching diagnostic procedures in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate highly technical instruments to acquire diagnostic images.
  • Analyze data and evaluate images for correctness.
  • Process films and submit them to physicians for approval.
  • Use RIS, CIS, SMS, and PACS systems to generate proper documentation and complete RIS orders with accurate charges.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
