Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide exceptional support to our healthcare team by performing various services and activities in support of patient care. This includes accurate data entry for patient registration and insurance verification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment and effective communication skills when interacting with patients, families, licensed personnel, insurance companies, and third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering high-quality medical care.
  • Accurately enter charges on patient accounts, register patients, and update patient accounts.
  • Verify insurance and record statistics.
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, and keeping providers informed of changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
  • 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment is required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
