Job Title: Medical Assistant I

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant I to join our team at Gonzaba Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in a clinic setting, including vital sign collection, monitoring devices, and venipuncture.
  • Report and accurately document clinical findings to the provider in charge.
  • Assist in providing quality healthcare by accessing the electronic medical record and reporting pertinent information to the provider.
  • Maintain assigned work area with supplies and equipment, and clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment.
  • Transport patients safely and prevent potential falls.
Requirements:
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Certificate of completion from an accredited school for medical assistants or equivalent medical training.
  • CPR certification with AED and national certification as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Experience in a clinic, doctor's office, or hospital with a minimum of one year of experience preferred.
Work Environment:

The Medical Assistant I will work in a clinic environment, exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

The Medical Assistant I requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance, and close vision and ability to adjust focus.

The Medical Assistant I must be able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a strong work ethic, commit to the culture, and our core values.
