Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Communicaresa. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with front office and back office duties, ensuring timely and efficient completion of medical assistant tasks and duties.
  • Administer injections, assist with non-invasive and direct patient care procedures, and perform medical examinations as specified within the medical assistant scope of practice.
  • Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, and ensure quality metrics are completed and documented in compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies, immunization, and operating supplies, ensuring equipment is calibrated, charged, and cleaned.
  • Register patients, update patient information, and verify insurance plans as needed.
  • Complete end-of-day reconciliation reports and ensure accurate posting of encounter data.
  • Prepare for next-day clinic by identifying appointment types and chart preparation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as Medical Assistant and/or a Medical Assistant Diploma from accredited college.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association.
Working Conditions

This role requires sitting 20-30% of the time and standing, walking 70-80% of the time. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., push and pull up to 45 lbs., and bend at the waist, twist, and turn along the axial plane.
