Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Manager to join our team at The Jed Foundation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health policy and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective advocacy strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance mental health policy priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with elected officials and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze state and federal mental health policies and developments
  • Communicate advocacy messages to various audiences through various channels
  • Support the Director in managing student internship programs in mental health policy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in mental health, health, or disability policy
  • Exceptional persuasive writing ability, strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Alignment with The Jed Foundation's guiding principles and mission
Work Environment

This is a hybrid role that requires weekly in-person meetings, Hill days, conferences, etc. Travel is approximately 30%.

Please note that this position is based in Washington, D.C. and requires occasional travel to New York City and other locations as designated by The Jed Foundation leadership.
