We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Project Manager to join our team at the American Academy of Actuaries. As a key member of our Public Policy department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Retirement Practice Council and leading the actuarial public policy work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Collaborate with the Practice Council and related committees to identify and develop public policy work products, including comment letters, issue briefs, and monographs.
  • Collaborative Communication: Work with internal staff to identify, schedule, and organize retirement-related webinars and promote panels and other external speaking events that highlight the work and policy positions of the Practice Council.
  • Policy Engagement: Proactively identify and share public policy issues and related activity with the department and Practice Council, and collaborate with the Senior Retirement Fellow to support the Practice Council and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • College degree and a minimum of four years of professional experience.
  • Project management experience strongly preferred, with experience with Asana is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an association, trade, or legislative/regulatory environment is helpful.
