Position Summary

The Software Build Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development and release cycle at Portrait Displays. As an integral member of the engineering team, you will oversee the creation and maintenance of build processes for a variety of projects. These include internal software libraries, engineering initiatives for clients and partners, as well as applications for end users. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact feature development and release strategies. Collaborating closely with Management, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams, you will ensure that all projects are built, tested, and delivered to the highest standards. Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in platform-independent design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with shell scripting, PowerShell, and Python programming languages.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Objective-C/C++.
  • Proficient in using Visual Studio, Xcode, and CMake.
  • Experience with test-driven development methodologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Capable of functioning effectively within a team setting.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with consumer and professional video technologies, including HDMI, SDI, and DisplayPort.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and HTML5.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate the needs of others.
  • Independent learner with a strong curiosity and willingness to seek assistance when needed.
