Trucking Appointment Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Appointment Clerk to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc.

This role will be responsible for scheduling company appointments with current and potential customers or clients in a fast-paced environment via phone, email, and recording appointments in the AS400 system database or other company/internal freight monitoring system used within the company.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and place outgoing calls to customers to schedule pickups and delivery
  • Enter appointments in the computer in a timely manner
  • Perform general customer service by responding to emails, status of shipments, helping customers correctly complete Bill of Lading and label freight, etc.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AS400 preferred

Compensation Range:

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. ($20.21-$24.57)

Working Days:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Working Shift:

Shift and hours to be determined
