About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterans Health Administrator to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Veterans Health Administrator, you will play a critical role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $61,869 and $121,930 per year, based on location and experience.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, permanent position with the Department of Veterans Affairs, working in the Lexington VA Health Care System. The successful candidate will work as part of an administrative team to provide support to our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including preparing documents, making phone calls, and maintaining records.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Document and communicate patient information and updates to the healthcare team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager, CC/HT.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other relevant qualifications may be considered.
