Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health professional to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse to provide psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and child patients. Your primary responsibilities will include planning and implementing milieu treatment, collaborating with the nurse therapist to determine a treatment approach, and providing individual counseling focused on treatment goals during hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Provide supportive care to patients, including participating in conversation, recreational activities, and basic living activities, while setting limits and reassuring patients as needed.
  • Record patient information on charts, prepare regular reports, and document significant interactions and communications.
  • Participate in discharge planning and referral, as necessary, and work with representatives of outside agencies to obtain or disseminate information on individual patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • BLS required.
