The Community Supervisor is tasked with the daily management of Unity Care Group's residential facilities. This role involves fostering positive relationships with tenants and the public while overseeing all maintenance, security, and safety operations within the community.
This position collaborates closely with program staff to assist residents in achieving their personal goals. Residency on-site is a requirement, as the supervisor will occupy an apartment within the facility. Availability during evenings throughout the week is essential.
As part of the Unity Care team, this role adheres to the performance standards outlined in the UC Staff Employee Handbook and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Required:
- Knowledge of property management principles and relevant laws and regulations.
- Prior experience in customer service or property management, with the ability to connect effectively with residents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must demonstrate maturity and sound judgment.
- Flexibility in attitude and work schedule is necessary.
Preferred:
- Experience working with at-risk youth, individuals with special needs, or the homeless population is advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Represent Unity Care at collaborative meetings with other housing organizations.
- Attend monthly service meetings and collaborate with other programs as needed.
- Participate in tenant interviews alongside the Program Manager and staff.
- Deliver official notices and communications to tenants as directed.
- Communicate with vendors as necessary.
- Act as the primary contact for residents, managing maintenance requests and addressing property emergencies.
- Ensure availability during business hours and provide emergency coverage, including carrying a mobile phone.
- Oversee lease signings, key distribution, and collection during move-outs.
- Conduct inspections during tenant transitions and coordinate with facilities for unit turnover.
- Facilitate tenant communication and community events.
- Address tenant complaints and issue verbal warnings when required.
- Report violations to property management as applicable.
- Manage on-site parking and surrounding areas for compliance, coordinating with towing services as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property, including common areas and cleanliness.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up with facilities.
- Collaborate with tenants to provide mental health services and support.
Organization Duties:
- Submit timecards to the supervisor accurately and on time.
- Obtain pre-approval for time away from work according to company policy.
- Maintain familiarity with the staff handbook and relevant procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Property Management Responsibilities:
- Process tenant applications based on income and special needs criteria.
- Calculate rents according to established guidelines.
- Manage the annual re-certification process.
- Track and submit monthly rent rolls.
Lease Management:
- Maintain lease agreements and handle eviction paperwork when necessary.
- Prepare and issue violation notices in collaboration with the Property Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all housing laws and regulations.
- Enforce fair housing and landlord-tenant laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS:

Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Employees may need to engage physically with clients during interventions.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is required within a specified timeframe of employment, along with passing a background check and health screening.
Employees must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, meeting the minimum insurance requirements for business-related travel.
