Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our team at the State of Minnesota. As an Administrative Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the licensure and compliance units, as well as assist with board and board committee meeting coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the licensure and compliance units, including data entry, scanning, and filing.
  • Assist with board and board committee meeting coordination, including preparing meeting materials and taking minutes.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks, such as copying documents and collating written materials.
  • Provide customer service to stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and providing accurate information.
Requirements
  • Skills in word processing, data entry, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of communications, math, and current data entry, scanning, and document storage procedures.
  • Ability to use a multi-line telephone system and general office equipment.
  • Ability to manage public and non-public data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous administrative support experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply Board rules and statutory requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Lift, carry, and retrieve files from boxes.
  • Move items up to 20 pounds.
Additional Requirements

This position requires successful completion of pre-employment reference checks and FBI fingerprint background check and security training.
