Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become part of Wellstar Internal Medicine Associates of Marietta, a primary care practice focused on outpatient services. Candidates should be capable of collaborating with other healthcare providers as well as functioning independently.

The APRN/PA will uphold the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the WellStar Health System by emphasizing clinical excellence through the delivery of quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Clinical Responsibilities
  • The clinician will deliver quality care to all patients under their supervision in a safe and effective manner.
  • The provider will collaborate to develop and implement Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for targeted diagnoses.
  • The provider agrees to engage with, participate in, and adhere to the quality assurance, risk management, and peer review programs, grievance procedures, and utilization control mechanisms established by the Medical Group and its Affiliates.
  • Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Conducting comprehensive medical histories, performing thorough physical examinations, initiating necessary lab orders, radiology tests, or other diagnostic evaluations required for illness assessment, and analyzing lab data for both new and returning clinic patients and hospital admissions to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to formulate a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Must be able to collaborate as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Educating patients about their conditions and treatment plans.
  • May serve as a clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Referring patients to specialists as necessary for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatments.
  • Must possess the capability to work remotely to provide virtual healthcare services.
  • Additional duties as assigned based on training and experience.
